How Can severe Buttock Pain Along With Thigh Pain Be Treated?

Yes, I am a 57 year old male with no history of injury to my back or neck. However, for the past month I have had severe pain in the right buttock and back of right thigh to the point that I am limping significantly and have trouble standing and sitting. I have no pain in lower back. I have used OTC balms, analgesic patches and ibuprofen with no relief. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am unsure who to consult for an appt. Thank you.
